Olton Mere Sailing Club offers sailing, walking and fishing in the heart of Solihull. The Mere is located alongside the Warwick Road in Olton - down the drive opposite the BP garage by the metal railway bridge.

Sailing on the Mere can be enjoyed throughout the week. Racing takes place on Sunday throughout the year and Wednesday evenings during the Summer. Social sailing takes place on a Monday evening during the Summer.


	During 2009, the management committee has worked tirelessly to refurbish the clubhouse. Our facilities are now top class, and are appreciated by sailors and social members alike. The club is still accepting gift aid donations so that the finishing touches can be completed.


	Olton Mere has provided a protected natural haven for wildlife and plants for over two centuries. There is a category of membership specifically for those who wish to only have access to the Mere grounds and enjoy the natural environment by walking round the Mere.


	The new bar is a natural meeting place after the various activities that the Mere has on offer. The bar is open on Wednesday evening, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Social events are also organised throughout the year.

		There are different categories of membership from an access permit for walking to full membership including use of the water and clubhouse and participation in the many social events on offer. The club is run by the members and everyone is welcome to apply to join.
